GAVIN BRYARS 'Sinking Of The Titanic' Vinyl LP (1975 Ambient/Minimal)
Year of release: 1975
Inspired by reports that the band kept playing the hymn 'Autumn' as the ship went down, Gavin Bryars imagines it echoing on underwater. Strings and murky tape effects loop and decay like sound fading into the ocean depths.
