AK MUSICK s/t Vinyl LP (1972 Experimental/Free Improv)

Year of release: 1972

German musician Hans Kumpf gathered five classically trained players for this one-off session, cut in about three hours at Bauer Studios with ECM engineer Martin Wieland. Zither, darbuka, tam-tam and oboe scrape, rattle and drone into free improvisation that's strange, delicate and wholly acoustic.
