FELA KUTI 'Expensive Shit' Vinyl LP (Afrobeat/Funk)

Year of release: 1975

When police planted a joint on him, Fela swallowed it, and they held him until he passed it; he got hold of a cellmate's clean stool and walked free. He turned the whole farce into this mocking, horn-driven groove, Tony Allen's drums skipping underneath.
