ELASTICA s/t Vinyl LP (1995 Indie)

Year of release: 1995

The fastest-selling debut in Britain since Oasis' Definitely Maybe is a rush of wiry, sharp-elbowed punk-pop, most of it over in under three minutes. Justine Frischmann's cool sneer leads 'Connection' and 'Waking Up', though both borrowed so closely from Wire and the Stranglers that settlements followed.
