BARNEY WILEN 'Moshi' Vinyl LP (1972 Experimental Afro/Jazz)

Year of release: 1972

French saxophonist Barney Wilen spent months travelling across West and Central Africa with a film crew, and this album fuses his field recordings with free jazz, rock and psychedelia. Chants, talking drums and wailing sax blend into something wild and genuinely one of a kind.
