DON CHERRY 'Relativity Suite' Vinyl LP (1973 Jazz/Avant Garde)

Year of release: 1973

Don Cherry composed this for the Jazz Composer's Orchestra, a big band of New York's freest players, and it blends Indian ragas, Tibetan chants and roaring free jazz. Cherry's pocket trumpet and wordless vocals float above the storm.
