DUKE ELLINGTON & CHARLES MINGUS 'Money Jungle' 180g PURPLE Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1963

Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and Max Roach met for this trio session, and the tension is electric, with Mingus reportedly storming out mid-session. The title track's clanging piano and snapping bass are as fiery as any free jazz.
