JOHN COLTRANE 'Blue Train' 180g RED Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1958

Coltrane had just got clean and spent months playing with Thelonious Monk when he cut his only Blue Note album as leader at Rudy Van Gelder's Hackensack studio. The tricky changes of 'Moment's Notice' and the bluesy title theme, with Lee Morgan and Curtis Fuller beside him, show a player about to take off.
