JUAN CARLOS CALDERÓN 'Bloque 6' Vinyl LP (1968 Latin Jazz)

Before he became one of Spain's great pop songwriters, Juan Carlos Calderón was a jazz pianist, and Bloque 6 is a high point of 1960s Spanish jazz. With Pedro Iturralde and Pepe Nieto in the band, it mixes hard bop and modal jazz with tunes by Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and his own 'Sambando'.
