LEE PERRY 'Africa's Blood' 180g PURPLE Vinyl LP (1971 Reggae)

Year of release: 1971

These early-70s Upsetters productions mix tough reggae and rocksteady with soul, including a cover of 'My Girl' and Dave Barker's 'Do Your Thing'. It's a raw, inventive snapshot of Lee Perry's work a couple of years before he built the Black Ark.
