Projects such as Mondo Cane, his work with John Zorn and numerous soundtrack and guest appearances show just how far he has been willing to move outside the usual boundaries of a rock frontman.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePatton’s collaborations are almost as important as the bands themselves. His long association with John Zorn connected him to New York’s experimental and improvisational world, while musicians including Buzz Osborne, Trevor Dunn, Dave Lombardo and Duane Denison repeatedly reappear across different projects.
