SISTER ROSETTA THARPE 'Gospel Train' Vinyl LP (1956 Gospel)

Year of release: 1956

Cut in New York in July 1956, this pairs Sister Rosetta Tharpe's ringing electric guitar with jazz players and the Harmonizing Four. 'Can't No Grave Hold My Body Down' rocks so hard it points toward rock'n'roll, and '99½ Won't Do' shows off her picking.
