ALAN VEGA (Suicide) s/t MAGENTA Vinyl LP (1980 Rock n Roll)

Year of release: 1980

The solo debut from Suicide's singer is stripped-down rockabilly with Phil Hawk's twangy guitar and a primitive drum machine, and 'Jukebox Babe' became a surprise hit in France. It's Vega the Memphis dreamer, hiccupping and whooping through echoing, minimalist rock and roll.
