CYMANDE 'Promised Heights' PINK Vinyl LP (1974 Funk)

Year of release: 1974

Their third album includes 'Brothers on the Slide', a slinky funk groove later revived in London and New York's rare-groove clubs, as the London band of Caribbean musicians found more fans in America than at home. Rolling basslines and congas keep everything in deep motion.
