'2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY' Soundtrack (Stanley Kubrick) 180g Vinyl LP (1968)

Kubrick threw out the score he commissioned from Alex North and built 2001: A Space Odyssey around existing classical recordings instead. Richard Strauss's fanfare 'Also sprach Zarathustra' and 'The Blue Danube' waltz sit beside the eerie, dense choral and orchestral textures of György Ligeti.
