'HALLOWEEN' Soundtrack (John Carpenter) 40th Anniversary BLUE GALAXY Vinyl LP (1978)

Year of release: 1978

Built on 5/4 time, a rhythm his father, a music teacher, taught him on the bongos as a boy in Kentucky, this score took John Carpenter about three days to write. A studio executive saw the film without music and found it barely scary; with these chilling notes in place it became one of the scariest films ever made.
