'NAUSICAA OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND' Studio Ghibli Soundtrack (Joe Hisaishi) Vinyl LP (1984)

Year of release: 1984

This was the first time Joe Hisaishi worked with Hayao Miyazaki, and his mix of early-80s synthesizers and sweeping orchestra floats over the film's toxic jungles. The haunting child's voice singing 'la-la-la' on the 'Nausicaä Requiem' is Hisaishi's own young daughter, Mai.
