ALBERT KING 'I'll Play The Blues For You' Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1972

Five years on from his Stax breakthrough, Albert King turned up the funk, backed by the Bar-Kays and the Memphis Horns. The title track is a long, slow burn with spoken-word swagger, his guitar bending notes so hard they seem to cry.
