Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac have really been two bands. The first, led by Peter Green, was one of the finest groups of the British blues boom, with Green's aching, economical guitar on 'Albatross', 'Oh Well' and 'Black Magic Woman'.

After years of line-up changes, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie teamed up with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks and became California soft-rock superstars. Rumours, written as the couples in the band were breaking up, set gorgeous three-way harmonies and polished, radio-perfect songs against real heartbreak, and became one of the best-selling albums ever made. Tusk followed as a sprawling, experimental double album.
