JOHNNY CASH 'American Recordings' 180g Vinyl LP (1994 Country)

Year of release: 1994

Rick Rubin sat Johnny Cash down in his Los Angeles living room with just an acoustic guitar, and a few songs were caught live at the Viper Room. Leonard Cohen's 'Bird on a Wire', Glenn Danzig's 'Thirteen' and the old murder ballad 'Delia's Gone' sound as bare and close as a confession, and it won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
