BLUR 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' BLACK Vinyl 2LP

Year of release: 1993

Fed up after a gruelling American tour, Blur came home determined to write about Englishness, and this album all but kicked off Britpop. 'For Tomorrow' and 'Chemical World' pair Kinks-style wit with big choruses, and the cover's steam train painting is defiantly British.
