SMOG (Bill Callahan) 'Dongs Of Sevotion' Vinyl 2LP (2000 Indie/Alt. Rock)

Year of release: 2000

The title is a spoonerism of 'songs of devotion', and Tortoise's John McEntire recorded this fuller band set, with Jeff Parker on guitar. 'Dress Sexy at My Funeral' is grimly funny, while the single 'Strayed' is slow and quietly beautiful.
