CANNONBALL ADDERLEY 'Cannonball's Sharpshooters' 180g Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1958

Cannonball and his cornet-playing brother Nat lead this hard-swinging quintet session, cut in 1958 while the saxophonist was also a member of Miles Davis' band. Bright, bluesy and joyful, it shows why his alto was one of the happiest sounds in jazz.
