CHARLIE MINGUS 'Pre-Bird' VERVE ACOUSTIC SOUNDS 180g Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1961

As the title suggests, these are tunes Mingus wrote before he first heard Charlie Parker, finally recorded with Eric Dolphy among the players. 'Prayer for Passive Resistance' and 'Mingus Fingus No. 2' swing from churchy soul to big-band bravado.

Condition: New/Sealed/Mint
