MILES DAVIS 'On The Corner' 180g Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1972

Inspired by Sly Stone, James Brown and the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, Miles Davis built this from looping funk grooves, tabla and sitar. Corky McCoy's cartoon cover of street characters matched its urban swagger, and critics hated it before hip hop producers fell in love.
