ASTRUD GILBERTO 'Shadow Of Your Smile' Vinyl LP (1965 Bossa Nova)

Year of release: 1965

Lush orchestral arrangements by Claus Ogerman and Don Sebesky set Astrud's soft, breathy voice against shimmering strings and gentle bossa rhythms. The title song, from the film The Sandpiper, is mid-sixties sophistication at its most elegant.
