ABDOU EL OMARI 'Nuits D'Été' Vinyl LP (1970s Moroccan)

Year of release: 1976

A flop when it came out for being 'too progressive', this debut from Moroccan organist Abdou El Omari now sounds way ahead of its time. His electric organ bends Moroccan melodies through fuzzy, reverb-soaked funk and psych, and this version was rescued from the few surviving test copies.
