Warner Bros were so shocked by Nicolas Roeg and Donald Cammell's gangster-meets-rock-star film that they shelved it for two years. Jack Nitzsche put the music together, mixing Mick Jagger's sneering 'Memo from Turner' and Randy Newman's 'Gone Dead Train' with Ry Cooder's guitar, early Moog and the Last Poets.
