DUKE ELLINGTON 'Blues In Orbit' 180g Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1960

The orchestra explores the blues in many shades here, from slow, sultry grooves to bright, swinging romps. Johnny Hodges' silky alto and the Duke's own spare piano give it the easy feel of a band jamming once the crowd has gone home.
