GANG OF FOUR 'Entertainment!' Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1979

Leeds' Gang of Four set Marxist lyrics to jagged funk, with Andy Gill's guitar slashing and stopping like broken glass. 'At Home He's a Tourist' was dropped from Top of the Pops over a lyric about condoms, and 'Damaged Goods' turns a breakup into a sharp-edged dance.
