SHARON JONES & THE DAP-KINGS 'Soul Of A Woman' Vinyl LP

Year of release: 2017

Sharon Jones recorded her vocals between rounds of chemotherapy, and the Dap-Kings play as if determined to do her proud. 'Matter of Time' is a horn-blasting call for change, and the closing gospel song 'Call On God', which she wrote years earlier, makes a stirring goodbye.
