JOHN COLTRANE 'A Love Supreme' Vinyl LP

Year of release: 1965

Coltrane wrote this four-part suite as a prayer of thanks to God, and his poem of devotion is printed in the sleeve notes. The opening bass line and the chanted 'a love supreme' give way to some of the most intense, spiritual jazz ever recorded.
