A TRIBE CALLED QUEST 'Low End Theory' Vinyl 2LP (1991 Hip Hop)

Year of release: 1991

Jazz great Ron Carter plays upright bass on 'Verses from the Abstract', a sign of how deeply this album fused hip hop with jazz. Phife and Q-Tip trade rhymes over warm basslines and crisp drums, and 'Scenario', with a young Busta Rhymes, ends it in a riot.
