JOHN CALE 'Paris 1919' Vinyl 2LP (1973 Art Rock)

Year of release: 1973

Lowell George and Richie Hayward of Little Feat play on this, with Chris Thomas producing, but it's the lush strings of the UCLA Symphony Orchestra that make it. Songs about Graham Greene, Dylan Thomas and the peace talks after World War I are mysterious and beautiful.
