Alice In Chains

Alice in Chains is a seminal American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987. As a core pioneer of the 1990s grunge movement, they stood out by blending heavy metal riffs with acoustic elements. The band achieved massive global success with iconic, critically acclaimed albums like Facelift and Dirt.

The group's signature sound relies on the haunting, dual-vocal harmonies of original frontman Layne Staley and guitarist-songwriter Jerry Cantrell. Their deeply personal music frequently explored dark themes of addiction, isolation, and depression.

Following Staley’s tragic death in 2002, the band later reformed in 2006 with William DuVall joining as co-lead vocalist. They have since continued to record new music and tour, cementing their lasting legacy as one of alternative rock's most influential and resilient acts.
